Middle School After-School

As Atrium's Middle School grows, we are adding new opportunities for After-School Programming in Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Athletics, Science and more. Students may register for one or more activities per session during the Fall, Winter and Spring trimesters. They may also fill time after school at Atrium with homework or hanging out with classmates as part of the regular all school After-School program.  After-School care is available until 5:30pm.

Musical Theater

We’re so thrilled to present “The Wizard of Oz” for our musical theater performance this fall. When Sophie, Atrium's Performing Arts Specialist, asked some of our student actors what show they’d like to do next fall, “The Wizard of Oz” was on their short list; turns out, it’s been on our short list, too. The play is rich with brilliant and beautiful songs, an absolutely fantastic story, and, in addition to the well-known characters, multiple roles for many members of the company. Atrium Middle Schoolers are eligible to participate in Musical Theater, as well as students in Grade 5 with special permission. This year’s performances will take place on December 14, 2016.

Science Olympiad

We're excited to announce that for the second year in a row, Atrium School will participate in the Science Olympiad. The Science Olympiad is an academic competitive science team program in which teams of 15 students compete in 23 events covering all aspects of science. Similar to track and field, individual students compete in multiple events for both individual and team medals. The events include labprocess based challenges (such as BioProcess Lab or Crime Busters), knowledge based challenges (such as Dynamic Planet or Invasive species), engineering and building events (such as Bridge Builder or Bottle Rockets), and scientific thinking and communication events (such as Write It, Do It and Experimental Design).

Cross Country

We're very excited to let everyone know that the Atrium Cross Country team, known as the Running Giraffes, will begin its second season this fall! It is open to all sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. The fall season will begin on September 12th and last until November 7th. During this time the team will work on endurance, strengthening, technique, and nutrition. The fall season ends with a competition in the Massachusetts Cross Country Invitational held in Devens, MA on November 5th. This meet is sponsored by USA Track and Field and involves middle schools from across Massachusetts.
