The Team
As your little one takes their first steps on their school journey, our warm and caring Kindergarten teachers will welcome them with open arms and generous hearts. Merry-Murray and Mia are kind, patient, and eager to lead your child on a path of self-discovery. With over forty years of early childhood education between them, together, they create a joyful Kindergarten program that your child will love.

The Program
Our thoughtfully designed curriculum is created with your Kindergartener in mind. We encourage an age-appropriate balance of exploration and focus, honoring the spirit of childhood and preparing children for what comes next. Atrium Kindergarteners learn the fundamentals of reading, writing, math, and science, while also learning about themselves - how to reflect upon and express big ideas. Like all education at Atrium, learning in Kindergarten is an adventure, filled with meaningful interactions and joyful discovery. Through play, lessons, art, music and plenty of outside time, children experience boundless curiosity, focused on the theme, “What is Water?”

The Hours
If you’re like most families with young kids, you’re busy and your days are long. That’s why our school offers 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. school and aftercare options to make sure your young one is happy and tired at the end of each day.

The Classroom
Wide open space. Lots of light. Cozy corners. Right-size furniture. These elements come together to form the perfect sanctuary for rapidly growing minds and bodies. Continually reimagined by our expert teaching team, the Kindergarten classroom encourages curiosity, invites exploration, and promotes independence, all within the confines of a “just right” learning environment.

The School
Atrium is unique in the learning landscape of Greater Boston. Our PreK to Grade 8 school prizes diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice and seeks to uphold these values in principle, but more importantly, in practice. We serve learners of many styles, and our graduates attend a wide range of private and public secondary schools. Our alumni are thought influencers and cultural pioneers in non-profit and commercial industries ranging from finance to cinematography. The best part is, we’re a neighborhood school - right next door in Watertown’s thriving East End, minutes away from Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Newton, and Arlington.
