Head of School Marshall Carter of Watertown draws joyful with second graders during a lesson.

An Interview with Watertown City Counselor Nicole Gardner

In a recent interview with Watertown City Councilor Nicole Gardner, Head of School Marshall Carter shared about the vision of Atrium School and its roots in Watertown’s East End. Marshall discussed what makes Atrium unique, from our educational philosophy to our deep ties to the community.

“Atrium is a different kind of independent private school, I think. You can feel the creative excitement every day about learning. With many open-ended projects and complex issues in the curriculum, kids really explore their own thinking and take other perspectives. “
